Chapter 338 - Being Ignored
His actions seemed to bring her back to her senses. And it was just now that she discovered what she did.
Chen Lihua didn\'t know what to say, so she was quiet and allowed Liu Longwei to continue rubbing her hair.
Liu Longwei picked up another towel to dry her hair with it before drying her body and wrapping her in a bathrobe.
Next, he held her hand and pulled her out of the shower. He made her sit on the stool before using a hand dryer to dry her hair,
Because her hair was very long and had a full volume, it took almost thirty minutes to dry it all up.
After drying her hair, Liu Longwei packed her hair in a simple ponytail.
Chen Lihua just sat quietly and watched his actions from the mirror. Surprisingly enough, she didn\'t get lost in thought like the last time.
When Liu Longwei was done, He guided her into the walk-in-closet and picked up a nightdress for her.
"I can take it from here," Chen Lihua said as she took the dress from his hands.
Liu Longwei didn\'t say anything to her. He allowed her to take the dress and walked into the bathroom without saying anything or looking at her.
This action of his left Chen Lihua in a dilemma. She began to think if she annoyed him. And if she did make him annoy, she was wondering when, where, and how she did it. Because right now, she couldn\'t remember anything.
Chen Lihua changed into her nightdress as many thoughts ran through her head. She was thinking of what Liu Longwei was angry about and how she would apologize.
Now when her thoughts were filled with Liu Longwei, her mind didn\'t wander to the scene about the assassins, and that was Liu Longwei\'s aim.
He knew she would be lost in thought, thinking about those ugly scenes if he left her alone. So he purposely acted in that manner to distract her, to make her think about him instead of other irrelevant things. And he succeeded in achieving his objectives.
Chen Lihua was wearing her outer robe when Liu Longwei walked in with a bathrobe wrapped around his body.
Chen Lihua was surprised to see him out of the bathroom so soon.
Well, Liu Longwei didn\'t want to waste time just in case his plan failed. But when he came into the room, he sighted his wife from his peripheral view, dressed in her nightdress.
He smiled to himself because his plans worked. But he pretended to be angry with her by avoiding eye contact with her, and by not saying anything to her.
Chen Lihua felt so troubled as she watched him wear his night trousers and a robe.
"Lon... Darling, are you angry with me?" Chen Lihua managed to ask after much contemplation.
The silence was killing her, and she felt so uncomfortable with it, so she had to do something about it.
Just now, she wanted to call him by his name, but she changed her mind because, she felt that she had offended him, and for her to get him to talk to her again, she had to use a sweet name to soften his stance.
Liu Longwei continued to ignore her. If someone said something to him now, he didn\'t hear it.
"Darling, are you ignoring me now?" Chen Lihua asked, not sure about the situation.
Liu Longwei ignored her again.
Being ignored in this type of mental state she was in made her have a burning feeling in her chest. It felt as if her heart got broken, and everyone around her has forsaken her.
"Even you are ignoring me too," Chen Lihua said in a low voice as she stared at his back.
Still not getting a reaction from him, her eyes became misty, and she turned around and walked away.
Before Liu Longwei could turn around and say something to her, she had already left and closed the door behind her.
Liu Longwei sighed deeply as he looked at himself in the mirror.
Her actions made him think that he had gone too far, so he left the walk-in-closet in search of her.
When he came into their bedroom, he didn\'t see her there, so he became worried and was about leaving the room when her phone rang. So he took out her phone from her bag and checked the caller ID.
Seeing it was Lady Chen, Liu Longwei answered the call immediately.
Thinking it was her daughter that answered the call, Lady Chen called out to her in a worried voice.
"Hua\'er, my baby, how are you? I heard what happened tonight. Are you okay, are you hurt anywhere?"
"Mother, it\'s me," Liu Longwei cut her off before she could go any further with her questions.
"Longwei, my child, how are you? How is Lihua? Is she there with you?" Lady Chen asked worriedly.
Madam Liu, her best friend, phoned her and filled her in on the details of what happened. She felt so scared when she learned of what could have happened to her daughter, so she called immediately.
She knew that her daughter has never experienced anything like this before, so she knew that tonight\'s experience would leave her traumatized.
"Mum, Lihua is fine, everything is fine," Liu Longwei said as he went on to describe how the incident happened and what transpired after that.
"So mum, don\'t worry, Lihua is fine. I will get a doctor for her," Liu Longwei assured her.
Lady Chen understood the kind of daughter he was talking about. So, she asked worriedly, "Do you think she would accept that because she is very stubborn?"
"She wouldn\'t like that idea, but that is the fastest way for her to recover," Liu Longwei said.
"Okay. Take care of her. Her father and I will come to see her tomorrow. Goodnight," Lady Chen said.
"Good night," Liu Longwei replied.
After the conversation came to an end, Liu Longwei immediately went in search of his wife.
