Chapter 16 A Daring Request
"Mr. Fang, I\'m so sorry for chasing after you. I am here to apologize about yesterday for the inconveniences I caused you, and to also thank you for saving my life."
\'She is different.\' Mr. Fang stared at her lost in thoughts with deep furrowed brows.
"Mr. Fang?" Zhang Liling saw he wasn\'t paying any attention to her words and had to call out to him with a confused gaze.
"All this time you have been calling my name, but I don\'t know yours." Mr. Fang said with a straight gaze at her, as he slowly relaxed his brows.
He just thought back to what his doctor, Chuanli had said. He needed information about the girl whose scent didn\'t seem to affect him one bit and decided to start fishing out.
"Me?" Zhang Liling looked confused as she pointed to her chest.
"What is your name?"
Zhang Liling finally understood his question and released a warm smile. Mr. Fang was asking for her name, isn\'t that a good sign?
"My name is Liling," She replied with a bright smile, but the person she just replied to, was glaring at her.
Zhang Liling had to reduce the full smile on her face to a quatre and gave her full name, "My name is Zhang Liling."
She understood that he wanted her full name, but how much she hated her family name, he wouldn\'t know.
Mr. Fang looked a bit better after getting her full name. "Miss Zhang, you can leave now," He said and continued in his steps as he thought that was the only reason she came to meet him.
\'Huh! He\'s leaving again?\'
Zhang Liling couldn\'t let that happen as this was the last chance she got in the shortest time. His next class would be on Friday, and till then, she didn\'t know how better or worse her life would be.
With that thought, she blocked his path again before blurting out with a pitiable gaze, "Mr. Fang, I need your help."
Now, Mr. Fang was beginning to think what guts she had to keep blocking his path and preventing him from getting to his office.
If not that her scent didn\'t irritate him, he would have probably told her off a long while, but seemed to have a little bit of patience with her, only because of that fact.
Thinking that she needed help with the assignment he gave, he relaxed and asked, "What is it?" But what she said next, made him regret the reason he even came in close contact with her in the first place.
"Mr. Fang, can you take me in?
"What!" Even Fang Bingwen didn\'t know when that word escaped from his lips. He looked so shocked at her daring words.
I mean, this was not the first time a woman fawned over him as he was used to it, but this daring request was a first for him.
Mr. Fang had to glance at his surroundings to make sure no one was close, before glancing back at her.
Seeing his reaction, Zhang Liling wondered if she came off a bit too strong.
"Mr. Fang, please help me, I\'m too young to be killed by my stepmother. My father doesn\'t care about me as I\'m not his only child. You will be saving a future by taking me in, please help me!" Zhang Liling pleaded desperately and almost grabbed his hand.
Unfortunately for her, Mr. Fang saw it coming and was fast enough to evade her at lightning speed. "Miss Zhang, I think it\'s better to let your stepmother kill you than to die in my hands."
Without waiting for a reaction from her, he stepped away from her and walked past her with a furious gaze.
Never in his life has seen a crazy person like her. His ears felt hot at the sound of her words earlier. She was asking her professor to take her in, was her senses still working, or were they rotten because of the bullying she encountered?
No matter what his reaction would have been, Zhang Liling didn\'t think of this part. To her, she felt she was being reasonable.
Mow, she was in regret as she thought she had burnt the bridge just before she could make a connection with him.
"Ah!" She exclaimed as she stomped her foot before turning around to stare at his broad shoulders.
All hope was almost lost for her when she finally got a chance.
Bolin who had left earlier, returned in search of Mr. Fang when he didn\'t come back on time, and she had stood in place and listened to their conversation, but most importantly, to a piece of vital information.
"I\'m moving in tomorrow, have you found a housekeeper and a butler for me?" Mr. Fang asked in a firm tone as soon as Bolin appeared in his sight.
"Not yet, Sir."
Mr. Fang glared at him, and he apologized and followed after him.
It wasn\'t his fault that he hasn\'t found anyone yet. He went to a hiring agency, but he didn\'t see anyone he liked, so how could Mr. Fang accept them?
"Find them before I return from Yishun on Thursday." Mr. Fang instructed.
Yishun was where the Fang Family resided, and it was a short journey of about half an hour from S City.
There was no need to ask questions, as Bolin knew he was finally going to pay his old lady a visit.
As for Zhang Liling, she stood there until they disappeared from her sight.
\'He is looking for a housekeeper?\' She thought excitedly as she made her back to the lecture theatre to meet Tungmei.
"I was about to come to find you, did you get the help you wanted?" Tungmei inquired after sighing in relief that she made it back in one piece.
"Not really, but I have a chance. I only need to make good plans quickly." Zhang Liling replied while picking up her backpack with a sly smile.
On their way out to another lecture theatre for their next class, Tungmei asked about the kind of opportunity she got, and the plans she needed to make, but Zhang Liling refused to give her any good response.
"Just watch out," She said with a wink.
After lectures that day, Zhang Liling returned him to a huge surprise.
She had just stepped into the living room when she saw the familiar figure sitting elegantly with her gaze fixed on her father, while her stepmother in return, glared daggers at her.
"Mum!"
