The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 362

“Before she didn’t know who I was or what family I was from. It was only then she realized from my uniform I was with the Bloodgarde. Instead of thinking about Xixi she changed her tune and began to curse me for not telling her about my family background. She said I should compensate her for everything she lost and bla bla bla so I walked away.”

“Anyway she died soon after and her partner tried to come after the Bloodgarde using some bogus claims. I had to protect your mother so I got rid of her with a few star coins and yep.... that was it. I was very unlucky in love and I vowed never to try it again. I just wanted my baby to be happy and my baby’s baby to be happy...”

“You two are my world and I don’t want anything bad to happen to you. If I could fix all your problems I would but even I couldn’t fix my own problems. My mother had to stand up for me. It’s unfortunate she died before Xixi’s gestation period was over. She couldn’t even meet her own grandbaby.”

Zi Han listened to this and his heart felt sad. It was starting to look more like he had made the right choice. If his grandfather lost them both, it would kill him. He just hoped that Yi Chen wouldn’t do anything rash at this point because the way he ended that call, it seemed like he was about to declare war on his father.

While the two people were lamenting their unlucky hearts, prime minister Ikeda was pouring himself a half glass of brandy with a smile so bright like everything was falling into place.

He sniffed the brandy with a contented expression and took a nice sip before placing the crystal glass down so he could start infiltrating Sheba and find Zi Han’s new contact.

The young man had been absent online since the day he executed the prime minister in broad daylight. From the look on Yi Chen’s expression earlier on they must have broken up and Zi Han was probably heartbroken seeking comfort from the arms of another and that another was going to be him.

But after searching extensively for a very long time the prime minister couldn’t find anything. It was as though all of Zi Han’s digital traces had been erased. His expression turned dark with each minute as he searched and searched.

.....

“Shit!” he swore as he kicked the leg of the table almost breaking his toes. He suddenly felt like he had been used. The kid got very important information that he wouldn’t have otherwise gotten if it weren’t for him. Now he wanted to disappear on him and pretend like he never existed. That wasn’t going to happen. He would never let this go.

It seemed he didn’t have to wait long because Zi Han finally left the comfort of Han warship with his mother right beside him. The two of them were honestly not up to anything innocent that is depending on who was looking at it.

Like what the media said, the Bloodgarde was indeed a rogue organisation operating under old rules abandoned by humankind ages ago that is an eye for an eye which meant that if you were a criminal and the victims or the family of the victims contracted the Bloodgarde then you might as well write your will or prepare yourself for retribution.

Zi Xingxi didn’t personally pick up these small contracts because she had bigger contracts with the Marshal. But now that she and the Marshal had a falling out she wouldn’t be getting and accepting any work from him.

Whether it be star pirates or rebels on rural planets she was done. She decided to spend more time with her son and her son wanted to get into the business so she came along.

“You do realise that we aren’t on a vacation, right?” said Zi Han watching his mother come out of her hotel room wearing a swimsuit and a sun hat that looked as large as an umbrella.

Zi Xingxi looked him up and down before saying, “Why are you dressed like a pool boy? You are supposed to blend in. Show some skin.”

Her mother had changed her appearance but instead of auntie Sheila, she chose to look like a stunning model on the cover of a fashion magazine. She was a little more beautiful than the appearance she chose but Zi Han wasn’t complaining. In fact, he would have much preferred if they stayed low key.

“Go wear something else, maybe a short or something. I am embarrassed to walk with you looking like that,” she criticised but Zi Han wasn’t at all embarrassed instead he turned around and pointed his finger at her.

“I didn’t shave... and you always picked my clothes before. Now you don’t care anymore. You have truly changed,” he said looking like a wounded cat abandoned by his owner.

Zi Xingxi, “...”

“That was before you got a boyfriend. You weren’t anywhere to be seen. You are the one who abandoned me now come on. And what hair didn’t you shave? Do you mean that tiny stubble on your legs? You are like a hairless cat. Come come let go. I will pick clothes for you.”

Zi Han, “...”

There was really no need for insults. Lynn Feng, who was listening to this entire conversation switched channels and asked secretary K, “Are they here to slaughter a pedophile or are they on a vacation? I swear Zi Xingxi looks like she is going to walk down a runway.”

“You must be bored up there. Should I come to keep you company?” asked Secretary K while watching the target surrounded by people in the pool.

Lynn Feng, “...”

“That’s so many words. When did you become so talkative?” asked Lynn Feng but Secretary K didn’t respond. He just showed a fleeting smile.

AN: People who don’t talk much always seem to become very talkative around certain people. Certain people they like *wink *wink
