The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 439

It didn’t take him long to fix the hovercraft. He turned to the two siblings and called out, “Come start it. It should be working now.”

Nayeli who didn’t expect him to be able to fix the hovercraft got up to his feet with a scrutinizing gaze.

She couldn’t believe it thus she checked the engine while asking her brother to start it. Nathan pressed a few buttons down and the hovercraft started smoothly.

Nayeli glanced at him with a complicated expression. She couldn’t understand how he was able to fix it in such a short time when she had been working extra hard to fix it for the past two days.

“You... how did yo-,” she said only to stop talking when she heard the sound of someone trying to open the metal door they had lurched from inside. Zi Han looked at the pair who were suddenly frightened their faces ghastly like they had seen a ghost.

It seemed the ravagers had survived their ordeal and had come back to the station but there was someone bolting the door from the inside.

Dong dong dong!!!

“Who is in there?! Ram, is that you? Open the door. We are injured!” said the man yelling out. He probably thought that the one who was missing among them had found his way back to the station.

.....

Dong dong dong!!!

The knocking continued and it was getting even more urgent. “Sister, what are we going to do?” asked Nathan his fear overwhelming him so much that his knees were trembling. They had experienced the cruelty of these people and his sister had almost been violated by one of them. If it weren’t because they considered her ugly and unattractive they would have hurt her.

Like every other woman in their small town when they were born they would be cut on their faces several times leaving scars to make them ugly. Their voices would also be altered by drinking medicine that would alter their voices when they reached puberty.

In this world being beautiful was not an advantage but a curse. One might be taking a casual stroll on the street only to get abducted before getting sold to the highest bidder and their family never to see them again.

Nayeli held her brother back but it was clear in her eyes that she was afraid. She wanted her brother to hide but even if he did they would still find him. Zi Han sighed before producing a handgun out of thin air, well, at least that’s what they thought.

He walked towards the ladder mounted to the tunnel wall his steps menacing and domineering. Nathan wanted to stop him but Nayeli covered his mouth with her hand stopping him.

All their movements were noticed by Zi Han but he could care less right now. He was more concerned with finding his lover. He climbed up the ladder and with a speed unknown to this world he removed the latch at the door.

When the men outside heard it they excitedly opened this metal door only to be met by bullets in their brains. Zi Han was especially ruthless.

He shot to kill with no mercy because he knew that if it was known he was here he might alert the enemy. There was still that man who opened portals all over the federation. If he found out that Zi Han was here he would do whatever it takes to capture him.

When they saw their compatriot get shot their first response was to return fire but one by one they were laid to waste by this devil that appear out of nowhere. The weapon in his hand was something out of the divine books, terrifying and cruel. The last of the men couldn’t accept dying like this thus he kowtowed before him begging for mercy. He even swore loyalty to him in his very touching speech.

Nayeli’s brow furrowed upon hearing that voice. It was the voice of the man who tried to force himself on her. If his friend hadn’t made fun of her scars he would have carried on. She held her brother’s shoulders tightly suddenly afraid that this person would take pity on this pervert and give him a second chance.

But soon a loud bang echoed in the air before everything fell into silence. Bright blue flashes shone at the entrance of the tunnel. The two of them stood there scared and anxious but in two minutes a figure jumped down and landed sturdily at the bottom.

“Now that’s been taken care of let’s go,” he said as he walked forward towards the hovercraft.

The two of them were flabbergasted. They didn’t know where this person came from but they suddenly saw him as their saviour, especially Nathan. He saw a shadow of his father in this big brother.

Seeing that they remained unmoved, Zi Han turned back and asked, “Aren’t we going? Hurry up. I have things to do.”

The pair of brother and sister woke up from their trance and rushed over. They picked up a few supplies and rushed to the hovercraft. Zi Han sat in the back seat and closed his eyes appearing like he was sleeping but he was watching the video of the sign language between the siblings.

He couldn’t figure out some signs but he could understand the overall situation. These children weren’t exactly orphans. They still had a mother but she was being held captive. Zi Han’s heart sank learning this. He wanted to help them but at the same time, he wanted to find his lover in Kengston city. The more he delayed the greater his lover was at risk but he still couldn’t bring himself to ignore it.

“What are we going to do? He saved us,” signed Nathan after checking if the person behind them was sleeping.

Nayeli felt so bad but she really wanted to save her mother. She clutched the yoke of the hovercraft tightly feeling conflicted.

The roof of the station opened and the hovercraft rose from the ground before flying away heading in the northeast direction. Zi Han, who was good with navigation knew this couldn’t fit the directions of the coordinates he gave her so he said, “So what exactly is the plan? I am truly curious.”
